A September 16, 2003 Stamford Advocate article entitled "Getting back on track", relating to the Aug 2003 Blackout, stated:
...At Stamford-based River Bend Business Continuity Systems, several large firms remained up and running thanks to the lartge diesel generators, battery powered UPS systems and a redundant fiberoptic loop that River Bend offers, said Stan Exposito, the company's director of Real Estate..."Those companies can't afford to be down at all; even if people are not working, the data still has to be transferred," he said. "Business-wise, they didn't miss a beat."
River Bend was formed after Sept. 11, 2001, to offer a place where business could secure their computer
servers and relocate their staff in case of a disaster.
"They continued to do business so clients didn't know there was any interruption at all"...
